We had Avery's picnic party tonight after his game. Because his game time was changed to 7:30, the party was actually at the kitchen table! Avery had a few requests for his party: party hats, colored napkins and plates, a tablecloth like the one from Maggie & the Ferocious Beast (in other words a red & white checkered clothe), tow mater cake, and drinks. Well, after some bargain shopping we had a great picnic party for about $5. The kids could care less that most of it was left over birthday stuff! Avery also insisted that we all had to wear our hats! Papa Joe didn't argue - what a trooper!
